About Tailwise
Tailwise exists for one thing: more good years for every dog. We turn research on dog health and behavior into things an owner can do today, and we make daily supplements to go with them.
What we do
Most of a dog's life happens between vet visits. That is where owners make the decisions that add up: what goes in the bowl, how much the dog weighs, what gets noticed and what gets put down to age.
Tailwise works in that gap in two ways. The Field Guide answers one question at a time, from published research and veterinary bodies, and ends each article with something you can check this evening. Our products are daily supplements, starting with a hip and joint soft chew.
What we are not
We are not veterinarians and Tailwise is not a veterinary practice. We do not diagnose, and we do not claim to know your dog better than the person who examines it. Your veterinarian is your dog's clinical partner. Our job is to help you notice more and ask better questions.
The two questions behind everything we publish
- Longevity. Does this help a dog live longer? Weight, early signs, screening, what changes with age.
- Quality of life. Does this make today better? Comfort, behavior, understanding what a dog is telling you.
If an article or a product does neither, we do not put it out.
Our first product
Tailwise Hip & Joint is a chicken-flavor soft chew for dogs one year and older. It is glucosamine-free by design and built around New Zealand green lipped mussel, with every active ingredient listed with its own amount. It is made in the United States in a facility that holds a NASC primary supplier audit certificate and a third-party cGMP certificate. Tailwise itself is not a NASC member company, so the jar does not carry the NASC Quality Seal.
It is a supplement that supports joint comfort and mobility. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The Product FAQ has the full ingredient list, the daily amount by weight and the safety notes.
